About Us

Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) was registered in 2065 B.S. at the Office of Company Registrar with company registration number 166426. Its registered office is at Chandol, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward No. 4, Kathmandu District, Nepal. The company was started by small group of 4 members which after preliminary work of carrying out feasibility study and concluding Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NEA was joined by other new investors.

Mr. Saurav Dhakal is representing Vesna Venture Pvt. Ltd, a company established by group of professionals interested and experienced in hydro power projects, energy sector and other financial sector.

Mr. Bir Bahadur Ghale

Director

Mr. Bir Bahadur Ghale, is the main promoter and initiator of Upper Syange Hydropower Project with an experience of 26 years. He started in 1991 when he developed 130 KW micro hydropower plant in Barpark, Gorkha.

Mr. Kesang Shrestha

Director

Mr Shrestha is the Director of Upper Syange Hydropower limited and has been actively involved in energy, infrastructure, education and youth development since many decades. He also actively involved as board member in various invested company.

Ms. Deepika Gyawali

Director

Deepika Gyawali is a board members of Upper Syange Hydropower and co-founder of Green Growth Group which is a Food Tech Company with the objective to promote healthy food and create awareness of healthy food consumption. She also promotes the energy sector.

Mr Suraj Raj Bahak

Director

Suraj Raj Bahak is the alternative director at Kriti venture fund ltd which is an investment company established with objectives to invest in energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and other various sectors.

MS SAMJHANA TRIPATHI

Director

Ms. Tripathi is the newly elected board member of this hydropower. She completed her MBS from TU and has been working as an accountant since 15 years in ADMC Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

MS MANI THAPA

Director

Ms. Mani Thapa has 35 years of experience in the banking sectors. She was engaged in Council of International Fellow as a Board Member and also contributed in an International Social Organization (INGO). Currently, Ms. Thapa is involved in textile and restaurant businesses.

Mr. Bij Ghale

Company Secretary

Mr. Ghale is the secretary of this company. He has completed his MBA in finance.

Objective of USHL

The main objective of USHL is to develop Upper Syange Khola Hydropower Project to generate 2400kW power just upstream from the existing Syange Khola SHP implemented by LEDCO in Lamjung district in Western Development Region of the country. The secondary objective of USHL is to develop different hydropower projects by utilizing local technical and financial resources.
